새만금군산경제자유구역청(청장 이명노∙이하 새만금경자청)은 7일일부터 10일까지 중국에서 경제특구 교류 및 투자유치 활동을 전개한다.
이번 활동은 지난달 24일 전북을 방문한 빈해신구 정부관계자의 초청으로 빈해신구 책임자를 면담하고 지속적 우호협력을 위한 논의를 하며, 북경∙청도∙상해 등에서는 언론기관 및 기업을 대상으로 새만금을 알리고 상해 복단대를 방문해 중국대학의 해외진출에 대한 의견도 교환할 예정이다.
먼저 천진시 빈해신구에서는 중국 3대 경제특구(상해, 심천, 빈해신구)중에서 가장 빠른 성장속도를 기록하고 있는 빈해신구를 공식 방문해 양 특구간 교류∙협력 방안을 논의하고, 우호협력 체결 및 상호 투자유치 협력 등을 이끌어낼 계획이다.
이번 방문에서 중국의 ‘해외투자 진출’ 정책과 한국의 타 국가와의 FTA 체결에 따른 관세절감 효과 및 한국 브랜드의 해외시장 인지도 등을 내세워 중국기업의 한국 진출을 유도할 방침이다.
북경에서는 중국 대표적 기관지인 베이징 청년보사를 방문해 이번 방중 목적 및 새만금 개발 현황등에 관한 인터뷰를 하게 된다.
전북 통상사무소가 위치한 청도에서는 해외진출에 관심이 있는 중국 기업들을 대상으로 투자유치 설명회를 개최할 예정이다.
또한 상해에서는 먼저 푸동 경제특구 관리위원회를 방문해 개발현황 및 관리현황 등을 살펴보고 새만금을 홍보할 예정이며, 중국 명문대학중 하나인 복단대를 방문해 중국대학의 해외진출 계획 등을 알아보고, 새만금 산업지구내의 R&D부지 등을 소개해 향후 해외진출시 주요 거점으로써 충분한 입지를 지닌 점을 소개하게 된다.
새만금경자청 관계자는 “이번 중국 출장은 중국 빈해신구 특구와 지속적 교류를 쌓기위한 첫걸음이 될 것”이라며, “중국 기업 및 자본시장에 새만금을 홍보하여 향후 직접적인 투자유치로 이어질 수 있도록 힘을 쏟을 예정”이라고 밝혔다.
